I don’t want to go to work today. The Leafs lost last night. That’s a legitimate excuse, no? Fiddlesticks. Four day work week ahead, thank Bob.
There will be posts this week in which I do not talk about hockey at all, I assure you. This, however, is not one of them.
Fright night in New York Did I hear Paul Maurice say that he’d expected they’d split the Pittsburgh and NY games, and then have to go on to win three in a row? Somehow I found that (a little) comforting. And Mats is staying positive, but, you know, what other choice does he have?
Last night, there were times when it felt like the guys were barely present. I commented to Scott at one point that it seemed like there were ten Rangers on the ice and, like, three Leafs, if that. I dig that there was some serious physical and emotional fatigue to take into consideration, but losing 7-2? Besides, the Rangers had played a game Saturday night as well, had they not?
Also:
Sean Avery is still a dick of epic proportions.
I hope Carlo is okay. Man, he was having a rough go of things last night. Really, really heartbreaking. Somebody give that man a hug.
