king me, dawg.

Scott took the day off work today in order to spend it with me. I wasn't expecting him to be home, which made the surprise even better. We went for breakfast at McD's, because I have a thing for their hashbrowns even though I know they're not really good for me. Hey, on one's birthday, one is allowed to consume such things. It's a well-documented fact. Or, if it's not, it should be.

We also...
- went to the mall, where Scott bought Demetri Martin's These Are Jokes comedy album for me. I'm listening to it right now and drinking a Mike's Hard Berry. *smiles*
- got some holiday shopping done - for Scott's parents
- went to see Borat, which was both hilarious and terrifying. I loved it. My jaw dropped and stayed that way during Borat's conversation with the old man at the rodeo. He told Borat to shave his moustache off because it made him look like a Muslim, and said something terrible about trying to get gay people hanged in America. Christ. I'll say it again: terrifying.
- had a nice dinner (pizza and crazy bread!) and some lovely conversation. It was wonderful.

All is well.
