Life rolls along. I might have a job, but that's sort of up in the air. I might be a Maid, I might not be a Maid. I don't want to be a Maid, Mama. That said, it would be nice to have some extra fundage on hand, so that maybe I can buy a pretty armchair and some nice dry mounted or framed photographs for The Library.
Tomorrow I'm going to the Elvis Fest with my Grandma, Mum, and D., so I'm listening to some King tracks tonight to get in the proper spirit of things. I shall try my best to document the event and take lots of pictures, (because I'm sure you're all very concerned - heh).
1. I understand it's the long weekend and everything, (and it's not like I had anywhere to be today), but this does NOT mean that it is acceptable to set off fireworks in one's front yard at four in the bleeding morning. Also, those things shouldn't be set off close to the ground. It's dangerous.
2. When I went to pick up a prescription at Shoppers today, I also bought a Canadian flag pen that lights up when you write with it. Er, the plastic flag at the end lights up. Yes, I'm a dork. And what? (They had pocket-sized Etch-A-Sketch pads too, but, fortunately, I was able to resist.)
3. Scott and I took a walk down to the river this afternoon and got a JUMBO glass of cherry lemonade, which was so good that it is more than deserving of an entire sentence in this rather unremarkable post.
ETA: 4.
A scene from Magical Mystery Tour. Just because I've watched it probably five times in a row now and I have a feeling it's never getting old. "They're having a lovely time!" *giggles like mad*
