I watched "The Train Job" tonight and I would watch more but I'm tired and I have a lot of baking and other such things to do tomorrow. I just wanted to stop in and say a bit in the way of my thoughts on the series thus far...
First of all, I have no idea how I missed this show back in 2002 when it was released and subsequently cancelled. Someone should have told me. I would have watched. Not that my viewership alone could have kept it from getting cancelled but it would have been something to look forward to during a time when I thought that "decent television" had become but a myth.
Oh, and hey, if you haven't figured it out just yet, I'm completely in love with this show. LOVE. I was laughing so hard by the end of "The Train Job" I had tears streaming down my cheeks. The show is quirky and brilliant and WHY THE HELL DID THEY CANCEL IT? Also, Serenity totally turned me into a Mal (Nathan Fillion) fan but I think I need to start building me a shrine to the guy. His eyes, among other things, just kill me. The fact that he has got this very unique system of morality intrigues me as well.
And then of course there is pretty, broken River. I still wish I could write her. Maybe after I watch all the episodes I'll have a better grasp on her character. In "The Train Job" she's really only peripheral.
In conclusion, although I appreciate that they are bringing Prison Break back two months earlier than was previously anticipated, I am still of the opinion that the people who make the programming decisions at FOX are morons.
