So, Rockstar announced the 2nd downloadable expansion of GTA IV following the Lost & Damned expansion, this one being titled Ballad of Gay Tony, coming this fall. Already, the GameSpot forums are flooding with homophobic conservative diatribe about how they will not get this because... well, it's "gay".
Though, one thing I find quite ironic is how people with homophobic sensibilities even care. If you've ever played GTA IV to any extent, you'd easily see that the world is chock full of conservative bashing satire, through and through.
So I have to ask myself - how could they have played a game like GTA IV and only now just care? Well, I'm reminded of that recent bit of researched that revealed that a majority of conservatives that watch Steven Colbert actually think he's a real Republican, being void of any satirical value. So now I can't help but wonder - does all this conservative bashing satire in GTA IV actually fly by most their heads, not to mention inconsequentially emboldening their ideological values?

In other my-gaming news, I'm getting back into my portables. My desire to try the Phoenix Wright & Apollo Justice games before these games were impossible to find got me to dust off my Nintendo DS. I guess Capcom called my bluff over whether they'd port these over to the Wii like Atlus did for the Trauma Center series and Taito/Majesco did for Cooking Mama series. Also, the release of Loco Roco 2 & Patapon 2 got me to finally recharge my PSP, though I'm stumped too as to why Sony never thought of putting these games on PSN for play on the PS3, as it's in need for some titles, not to mention Loco Roco 2 & Patapon 2 are instant classics Sony is refusing to milk like a fat cow with painfully swollen udders.
