movie recommendations
For the last few weeks I've been getting sick on and off. People at work get sick, I get sick, I get them sick again, they get me sick again. I'm sure I'd feel a lot better if I ate better and didn't smoke, I guess it's a lot of my fault, anyhow...

Last week I saw TAKEN, I thought it was pretty awesome. Some of the action scenes weren't the best shot, some of the audio editing was pretty bad. But I liked this film because I liked seeing how the hero tracks down the people he's looking for. Plus a lot of the ass kicking scenes were pretty cool. Anyhow, I recommend this.
Last night I saw PUSH with my brother. I wasn't expecting much because it got bad reviews, like a 20-something percentage on RottenTomatoes. Anyhow, maybe it was my low expectations, but I really really liked it. And I'm one of those people that don't like those super-power, comic book based movies (actually, this one isn't based on a comic book... anyhow), but I dug this one. It obviously wasn't trying to win any Oscars, give it some credit. If you don't you exhibit any symptoms of pathetic film snobbery I'm sure you can enjoy it too.
Oh, and if you already didn't know, large theater popcorns now go for $7.50 a piece (and still addictively gross), large sodas for $5.50, tickets for $10.50; WTF?! I really hate movie theaters, I'm gonna start sneaking my own kettle corn in my backpack from now on, just like the old days when spending $5 at 7-Eleven was enough to give one diabetes.
