RE: Chuck Palahniuk's "Rant" & GTA IV

So, I'm going tonight to the midnight launch of GTA IV, at EB Games in Pacific Place where I pre-ordered my game. I'm about ready to leave for that. I'll be sitting for two hours reading something to keep me occupied. I'm bringing my copy of Anthony Burgess ENDERBY. I lost track of how many times I read the first two books (which are my favorite). I've like countless other non-fiction books that I've gotten recently that I haven't read... but that stuff gets pretty boring without anything exciting in between. Anyhow, earlier today I was kind of thinking what book I should take along to keep me occupied, and then my thoughts wondered onto Chuck Palahniuk and whether he wrote anything else since HAUNTED, so I went to Wikipedia. Well, as it turned out, he wrote a book called RANT, and next month he's coming out with another book, SNUFF. I was so happy I decided to go get RANT so I can finish it by the time SNUFF comes out. I went to Barnes & Noble and then... [fuck!] they didn't carry it. Next I tried Half-Price books, they didn't have it. Then I went to that bookstore on northern Broadway and they didn't have it either. So yeah, for tonight I'll have to indulge in ENDERBY. Tomorrow I'll stop in at the Pike Place Market to see if any of their bookstores have RANT.

I feel like kind of an idiot though for not reserving GTA IV at Rob's work where he could just pick it up at 12 o'clock. That would've saved me a lot of effort. Oh well, it'll be interesting to see how pumped people are for this game. So far it's getting top reviews from everyone. Plus, it'll be interesting to see how it compares to the HALO 3 launch, being as GTA IV will be a multi-platform and it's comparatively popular, if not more. Anyhow, I don't wanna wait in line 'til 2AM, so I should be taking off.

PEACE
