Dear Live Journal

I'm sorry to bother you but I'm seriously starting to think I might be cursed. I've got a feeling the fuck up fairy has taken a liking to me and will not leave me alone. It happened today at Bastards Incorporated where I work, and don't ask me how, but I SOMEHOW managed to destroy the brand new 2003 Mercedes Benz Parts vans transmission. Now don't ask me how I somehow managed to do it, but for some reason, it now no longer has first and second gear. I also found out later, reverse was out of the question. Weird, because I don't remember leaving half the gearbox scattered all over the road. Oh, also the clutch is all burnt out too, the mechanic informs me. "That's why that smell it's giving out smells like a dead bird roasting on the engine block." He tells me. Well, for all I know it could be a dead bird roasting on the engine block. "You've fucked it mate!" He reassures me. They better not ask me to pay for this shit! They can expect $5 a week and think themselves lucky, and anyway it wasn't my fault. All I did was change gear and the next thing I know (after the grinding crunch) is that the gear stick is flopping around like a broken arm. "Changing gear with our steel cap boots, are we?" The boss asked sarcastically. Terrible, I had to drive all the way back from new market in third gear. And my luck being paramount, I got every red light.
Work is absolutely super! They have parts for every make of Mercedes Benz and Chrysler jeep - except ones that go on parts vans. So that's several big bucks air freight from germany (not including the cost of parts). So you see Live Journal, I'm a little bit stressed out right now, the boss is furious, not so much that I ripped the gearbox to shreds, but because it isn't even our van - it's on loan from the Mercedes Benz dealership in Glenfield. Yes, I think I'm going to write my will out tonight. As said before, I think I need a less stressful job, like working in a mine field or dismantling bombs..

love
Me.

p.s - I was going to work late tonight, but the bar is calling. God a ciggie would be great!
