Well, I don't watch Durara! so I can say anything for sure... but I do think that, the most popular the pairing is, bigger the load of fanservice. I'm a fan of LxLight and the majority of stuff about this pairing is angst and love-hate, and RobinRocks' fanfiction, "Poison Apple" is just freakin' amazing, mindfucking you to the core and all that rock, but I'm rambling... Ahem. Fact is, I only started to see them 'together' after this scene:

The authors: with a biblical syllogism, we see the victim "forgiving" his "murderer" before said act.

The fans: OMGGGG IN-YO-FACE FANSERVICE, YEAZZZZZZ!

But I re-read the manga and I was all, "man, there's nothing here, nothing at all..." - but the reason they've put this scene in the anime is because we're all set on see things our own shipper way and they KNOW it'll happen. I couldn't help, thought. I was swept away by the waves of crazy shippering. /o/ But I'm rambling again, ahem... Point is, authors like to bitch with our tastes. Let's wait 'til they end their series so we can kill'em all.

Now, to the fangirl attack.

And I have watched the video, and, uh, understand what you’re talking around. Of course, it’s not a secret that the audience never takes the canon the way the creators supposed it to look - or, must I clarify, that the authors are absolutely aware of the future reaction, and just pull innocent puppy look? I guess it’s a two gates game here, everyone understands what they are going.

Hehehe, I tried to watch this piece without spoiling myself too much - I haven’t read/watched DN, and totally intend to in the future, just don’t know when exactly. BUT, I have been following the DN creators new manga, Bakuman, and find it absolutely wonderful. Maybe you read it too, so we can squee together? /hopes

P.S. I wish for G/Ugetsu hints so, so much :333

Hahaha, well, curiosity got the best of me and I read the manga. X'D It's very interesting, I loved the references to other series especially the otaku-torture part! lol Also, Izaya is so awesome-stuff, unf ♥. But it's just the beginning, with all my college stuff I can't watch the anime now, so I'm not so feverish yet. :D

I actually looked for a video that wasn't that much spoiler-ish (I hope so). Just those two scenes in the rain and the one after, in the stairs. ;*

YES, I do read Bakuman, a while ago (my 'haha-i'm-so-high' dream was to became a mangaka). Now I'm not so up-to-date, but it's fine, we can squee over it anyway! \o/

P.S. I'm with you. Let us squee over the possibleG/Ugetsu hints too. :3
