Dedicated to
saying_sooth , just because.
You write amazing stories, and I’m in love with your unique gentle style. Also, you’re a spectacular beta (I will send this for you to beta later, yes, because I'm lame) and, all this aside, a great, great person. <3
The idea was absolutely spontaneous, stuck me today and got written in one hour, and it’s complete that way, so, yeah, sorry it’s so tiny.
I will probably post it to
yamagoku later, but flist has an early start, as always.
This story, however completely independent, kind of navigates the same waters as
“Midsummer” does.

You usually come home so tired.
While you’re taking off your shoes, you still seem energetic, scolding me for dried dirt around the welcome rug; then you go into the bedroom and start taking off your tie or jacket, and usually stop mid-action, lowering on the bed and staring on the wall, and I always instantly know how drenched out you are.
If you’re annoyed, you go to the kitchen straight after changing your clothes, and start cooking. I never ask what’s the matter, because you begin ranting about it anyway once you start slicing something - I listen and only look after your knife so you won’t cut yourself by accident.
Sometimes your food is great, sometimes truly terrible, sometimes mediocre. You always honestly comment on it yourself while we’re eating, and I just smile.
Most days you’re so tired you don’t even read. You just come along while I watch TV, and sit on the armrest - you say you won’t fall asleep on it, cause it’s digging into your hip. You’re never satisfied with my choice of channel, and make me change it two times. I always turn to the channel I want to see on the third change, and you rarely notice my trick. Sometimes I’m able to catch you drifting off before you fall asleep completely, and then we go to bed early. Sometimes I miss the moment, and the only thing I can do is positioning you as comfortably as possible on the sofa. After it you always wake up with stiff neck and nasty breath, and yell at me for letting you sleep like this. You have to wash your hair at morning in these cases, and you run around the house with your belt unhooked and a towel around your head. You attempt to drink coffee right after coffee machine is done, and always burn the roof of your mouth if I won’t snatch it from you before.
If you’re less tired at evenings, you read. You always pick a new book to read, snip a corner of the page where you stopped, before turning off the light, and place it on your night table, on a pile of books you have started to read at previous evenings, all with snipped pages. It makes me really sad, this pile of books.
But sometimes you take days off, or more like Tsuna forces you to take days off. You always carry a phone on you, and it never rings. When I have to go on work these days, I always come back to you bitching about socks lying everywhere, or toiletries in the bathroom standing in wrong order, or a kitchen being a mess. But you look lively, with a dust rug in your hand and with already dirtied hair in ponytail.
However, I usually try to take days off together with you. You wake up early and shake me awake too, but I convince you to stay in bed all day, and you agree. You sleep till noon then, and after waking pick up a book from your nightstand pile and start reading. You curse and flip through the pages, because you have already forgot the details since reading it several weeks ago. You always kick me if I’m staring at you too obviously. I go to make a breakfast that is actually lunch already, and we eat it in bed, so after that you brush away crumples onto my side and continue reading.
When you come across something really funny or amusing, you stop and read it aloud to me, sometimes twice because you can’t stop laughing while reading, and, even if passages aren’t funny when pulled out of context, I always can’t help but laugh along.
A/N: Ahahaha, plot, what are you talking about.
