Anime OP/ED time
Yeah, miscellaneous crap time.
There will be a lot of YouTube links since I can’t figure out how to post videos here.
Also, there will be a little Yamagoku bonus in the end.
I pay a lot of attention to anime openings and endings - well, I’m not an expert with six series seen, but, above those six, I sometimes stalk YouTube in search of some juicy ones. “Top five anime OPs”, “Seven most beautiful endings” - yep, I’m the target group for this if I have an occasional spare hour.
I judge openings and endings for quality of animation, plot, effects, dynamics, picture appealing-ness, picture fullness, and, of course, music. I’m picky. Very picky.
And therefore, I proudly present the show which animation turned my opinion about endings upside down.
Soul Eater.
Their third ending Diggygmo - Bakusou Yume Uta.
I don’t even think that there’s something to tell about it. Stylish, dynamic, laconic, fresh. Usually the clip gets you bored at the third time, but this one, this I had watched every episode.
This one rivals only their fourth ending:
Strength - Abington School Boys.
Brilliant quality, artsy performing, passable plot (in ending!), mesmerizing graphics. Wow. And damn, I love their ending songs.
Actually, Soul Eater is the only series where I love anime as much as manga. For anyone who is really picky about animation - Soul Eater is your peace of cake. Seriously.
Their second opening Heavenly 6 - Papermoon is also quite fascinating, but slightly pales compared to their epic endings. Still, it beats a hell out of most openings.
But do you want to know what series has THE BEST OPENINGS?!
Motherfucking Bleach.
They started with simple, but rather good ones.
Their second OP. D-Techno Life By UverWorld.
I love the song(actually, to start loving an OP I must like song to begin with), and even if the plot is rather simple and there are generally no effects, it’s very dynamic and damn, I pawn at Renji’s hair in the end.
During the series, they greatly progressed, and eventually we got this.
Velonica - Aqua Timez.
When I first saw it, I just… stared mouth agape. Like… no words. The effects, the picture, the movement, it’s perfect.
And then, they released this. Their last OP so far.
I…I think I came. I’ve never seen an OP better.
I can kneel before Bleach animators.
Their ED weren’t SO awesome, but still, very, very good. And three weeks ago they presented us this.
Gosh, I love this style. Glam Rock is the best. And the effects! Oh, shit. And to think of it, they have made this ED for fillers.
BTW, this ED had instantly acquired a parody, Fraccion Version.
Man, and this is a FANWORK. I suck. People rock.
The only good Naruto ending was in similar style, and full of delicious crack.
Seriously, that’s ridiculous and magnificent. The ED also got a lot of parodies, and the best is this one.
I was seriously awed. This animation, is it a fanwork too?! You people, you. And sick humour, FTW. And I must be the only one in this world to love Karin.
Naruto’s OP’s and ED’s suck, I don’t particularly know why. Maybe they don’t put enough effort into it, or maybe they just look too childish for me. The only OP I liked was thefirst Naruto Shippuuden one.
It was epic. But then again, they presented it after two motherfucking years of fillers, so they should jump over their heads.
I don’t know whether they made something good recently - I actually stopped watching Naruto several months ago.
Sometimes, OP’s may be better than show itself. Yes, D.Gray-Man, I’m looking at you.
I accidentally watched this, third OP, and instantly fell in love with it.
I’m still in love with it. I fangirl over the song, the character actually look sexy (sjfdghskjdhgskjdghskjdgfsk Lavi), the plot - captivating(even if everything looks a little too emo).
I’ve watched another OP and decided that I HAVE to read it, because it must be AWESOME.
It isn’t. I’m rarely that disappointed like I was when I started D.Gray-Man. I rambled about this somewhere earlier in my journal, so I won’t repeat myself, but I have dropped it with Eww.
Prepare yourself. I can’t overlook it. Everyone was nine-years-old at some moment.

I think I just cried. In all seriousness. From nostalgia. And now, the MOST CLASSIC ONE.
I can’t even describe how obsessed I was with Sailor Moon when I was little. I recorded all episodes on VHS and then re-watched them endlessly. Even my dad was worried. Then it all faded, of course, but we still laugh about “Moon diadem, lend me power!!” occasionally.

I think my brain died inside a little when I first saw it.
And now, when I conveniently approached Reborn and you have (hopefully) fixed your brain from a previous video, Reborn’s OP/EDs.
I actually like them very much. OP are simple, always reflecting the current plot of the show, unsurprisingly well-made and very captivating. This one is my favorite.
It’s rather emotional and maybe a little naïve at the beginning, but the guardians moments are great, and Yamamoto jumping around with sword is simply arousing. And I like the dynamics.
Their EDs are always very fanservice and very sweet, usually plotless but with a strong general idea.
But the one I love the most is this.
The victory of fanservice, haha! I think I’m starting to think about Vongolorgy again, they are all so, so hot. Every-fucking one. And I like the song.
Actually, I have a CD in my car with all my favorite anime songs, and sometimes sing along with it very loudly and off key when driving.
So, I have presented you my favorite stuff and would be very glad if you would recommend something you like.

I laughed my ass out. It's beyond ridiculous. And I love it. LOVE LOVE LOVE. The pieces are so professionally collected and edited, it just looks perfect!
Also, I don’t know why they don’t jump each other the instant they see each other, they are both so freaking sexy.
In other news: I want to fuck Yamamoto. I think it’s unhealthy.
