[ Isabella is in the Library, digging through piles of CDs and records. Occasionally, she moves something to a separate pile. After a moment, she looks up, smiling graciously. ]
After the festivities, there will be a smaller celebration. Much less formal. You are all invited.
[ A pause. ]
What music do you prefer?

And. makes clown noises. He might be humming that eponymous ferris wheel song.
But he stops after a couple of seconds.]
Seriously, though, you're probably gonna end up with a lot of rock music. I suggest the B-52's.

[And in the few seconds where her communicator is off, Isabella has jumped from shadow to shadow. She's right down the hall, King. Waiting.]

[King is unaware that Isabella can shadow-jump, but he also maintains a healthy dose of paranoia.
So the silence puts him on edge as he walks back from breakfast.]

[In the shadows, she can hide herself, throw off the sound of her voice. Enjoy it when you get here. You'll have no clue as to where she really is, King.]

[Weelll, that's not creepy at all. King pauses, glancing around, and then moves cautiously, keeping his back to a wall, the side he knows his and Bryn's room is on.]

[Still, he's moving towards his room - Bryn's told him the rooms are supposed to be safe. While he doesn't think Isabella would kill him - she apologized the first time, and he pissed her off that time, even though she doesn't remember what happened - he's still unnerved.]

[He slides the comm into his pocket. He's not worried about death, but a fight? Maybe.]

[Isabella scowls.]
Stay and tell me why you think I would kill you.
[You've piqued her interest.]

You've been on this boat before? You killed me when I insulted the thought process that led to you turning someone into a vampire that didn't want to be one. Sorta set you off.
[He knows she doesn't remember, but it doesn't make him any less wary.]

[She scowls. What he says rings true. Had she sired someone against their will and been critisized for it, she may well have killed anyone that spoke against her.
Stalking closer, she looks King up and down.]
You ought to know better than to toy with a predator. Now tell the truth! Perhaps you hold a vendetta. Did I steal your lover? It would not be the first time.
[She sneers, feeling the beast inside of her grow irritated.]
