Death Day

Dec 17, 2009 11:54

Only a few days until my deathday, and I've planned nothing for it. Back home, I would celebrate with a bottle of blood wine and maybe some entertainment from Papa, but this year, I have none of that to entertain me.

Any suggestions on how I should spend it, celebrating?

this sucks, !deathday, mourning

So its the opposite of a birthday... Do you mourn instead of celebrating?

I believe I clearly mentioned celebrating...

I can see that this important day in my life is wasted on you.

I would appreciate it greatly, Haine. No talk of training, I promise you...

I'll be there soon.

[Like he said he would, the albino was there in a few minutes. Knocking away at the door.]

[Isabella took a breath, even though she didn't need one, and pulled open the door, giving Haine a soft smile before stepping back.]

Come in...

[At a loss for anything more to say to Haine, she shut the door behind him and sat on the edge of her bed, hands folded in her lap. Things had been so awkward between them since his Embrace. But for him to visit on her Death Day... It filled her atrophied heart with a bit of warmth, a feeling she rarely felt anymore.]

I'm glad you came.

[He stepped inside and moved off to the side.]

You sounded pretty depressed.

[He replied, stuffing his hands in to his pockets, but not really moving from the wall.]

What would you normally do on this day?

[Isabella shrugged, picking at a microscopic dust mote on her dress.]

Was it that obvious, hijo? I hadn't even noticed.

[She looked up, watching Haine as he leaned against the wall, stiffly.]

Well, Papa and I used to fly back to Spain, see a ballet, and then spend the night on the hunt. But that is clearly out of the question.

Obviously. Redd would most likely throw you in to the brig for such a thing or just remove your teeth for a few days.

[He paused to think.]

I don't think there's a theatre open to passengers, but we could always go to the Carnival to kill things.

I've had no reason to hunt since my arrival on this ship, as there are a few passengers who have willingly shared their blood with me. And I have never intentionally killed a mortal, and I continue to plan to never to do so.

[A devious grin spreads over her face.]

But a trip to the Carnival does sound like fun...

Might want to wear something not so elegant.

[He warned and turned to open the door. He'd leave if she was to go change. Yeah, he totally ignored her in regards to drinking blood.]

[The moment Haine was out the door, Isabella pulled a pair of jeans from her drawers, as well as a pair of knee high black boots that lacked a heel, and a tight black tank top. Tight, non-flowing clothes that wouldn't get in her way.

Pushing the door open, Isabella raised an eyebrow at Haine.]

Is this appropriate enough for you?

[He glanced over before glancing away quickly.]

Its fine.

[Starts heading for the elevators.]

[Isabella follows in silence, secretly happy that they'd be spending some time together.]
