[It doesn't take Kage long to reach the library, and he wanders in and gazes up at the tall, tall stacks of books. This isn't a place that Kage spends much time in, but he knows the layout well enough.
His boots click as he walks, communicator in hand, reading the various messages on ShipNET posted by the passengers and other, private updates from the crew on how work is coming along.
Kage leans against the wall in the back, waiting.]
[Isabella is along after a few moments, but she takes her sweet time getting to the back of the library, allowing herself to be distracted by a few of the titles on the shelves.
Turning the corner, she spots Kage, and smiles. Aha. Approaching, she walks right past him, and reaches up to grab a book, flipping through it lazily.]
[And Kage doesn't react, just keeps flipping through the messages on his comm placidly as Isabella ignores him for the book.
He smiles to himself, finally slipping the comm into his pocket and withdrawing his cigarettes. He spends a few moments tapping one out, lighting it up, drawing in a lungful, and then he slowly wanders towards Isabella. ]
[Isabella ignores him for a moment to flip a few more pages before looking up, leaning against the shelf casually. As he lights up the cigarette, she licks her lips. He's a smoker? Interesting. Closing the book slowly, she tilts her head to the side, giving Kage a playful smile.]
I suppose you might. But you only get one, so make it count, pretty boy.
[Kage clucks his tongue, looking at her and leaning on the shelf.]
That ain't a word I get a lot. I get--
[He steps in a bit closer, reaching around her as ifhe were suddenly fascinated by a book high on the shelf.]
Rugged. Handsome. Gorgeous. DOn't get pretty much.
[Kage tugs the book down and flips it open. ... it's a dentist's handbook. It wasn't as if he gave a shit about it anyways.]
Anyways, I got one question. Maybe you can answer it for me.
[Kage looks up, smiling a bit.]
I'm lookin' for this beautiful woman. She's got long brown hair, classy kind of attitude, but you can tell she don't mind exerting some force, quick mind--you seen her, pretty lady?
[Isabella smiles a little more, before opening the book again.]
I'm sure she's around somewhere.
[Flipping a few more pages, she sets it aside and turns reaching up to the top shelf to grab another book, her fingers just barely brushing the spine.]
If you could grab that book for me, I bet I could find her for you. She sounds like a real lady.
[Isabella winks, playing with a strand of her hair.]
She'd like you, I think. Tall. Rugged's a good word for you; you're definitely right about that. Got a brain in your head, too...
A brain? Atch-ch-ch, pretty lady, you're flattering me.
[Kage reaches up around her, his chest brushing against her back. He slowly brings the book down, arm looped around hers and holding the book for her to take.]
I heard the lady I'm lookin' for likes the tall, rugged guys. Whaddyou think, lady--
[Kage leans in, speaking soft and low and into her ear.]
[As Kage hands her the book, she shivers a little, leaning back against his chest. As he whispers in her ear, she licks her lips, hands moving to grip the book shelf.]
Rather high.
[Turning, Isabella set the book aside and pressed herself a little closer to him, giving him a sultry gaze.]
I'd hurry up and find her though. She doesn't like to be kept waiting.
