Last evening I was getting all lazy and tired after my workout (good one, too: 6 mile bike ride, 2.5 mile run, 30 minutes of circuit training, 10 minutes abs, 15 minutes squats and a few in the steam room) when Lolly (from previous post and pictures) called and said she had free tickets to
Shecky's Girl's Night Out Basically, it's a big shopping party. Fashion, jewelry, beauty and liquor vendors all sell stuff and discounted prices and you drink and eat free all evening while you shop. I almost bought a pair of True Religion jeans for 120 (down from 350!!) but they were out of my size. So...I got
A Yen Linh Duster for $55 which is 1/3 or so of the retail. It's beautiful. Going to look lovely with jeans, a black dress whilst open, or closed with a black skirt. Yum! It's pretty fun, really. The only thing is your shopping inhibitions go down with all the free booze. I still want those jeans, though...They don't have dressing rooms but the vendor with the jeans had some wall things set up to change and a mirror off to one side on the floor. I was looking at my bum to see if I liked the jean size and I realized they were photographing me doing that for their promo photos. They said I looked really cute twisting around to look at my bottom in the mirror. I'll have to keep an eye out for that picture...
Afterwards we went to a macrobiotic/asian restaurant and had some pretty amazing food. It's a really nice place; I'll have to ask her where it is. It's in Soho, by Houston and 6th or so, and that's all I remember. It's across from a French place called Provence, I think.
Went back to JC, stopped at the Waterbug, hung for a bit, got a ride home from Lex and went to bed.
Nice night from planning one in, yah?
