Trying to work damnit, so trying out of town for a bit

I hate the service industry in the summer, here. I've been trying to get another job, but so far no luck. I've applied to a few things, and nada. Urgh. The bar is deadly slow and I'm still trying to make rent this month, sadly. I hope I make enough tomorrow night to finish covering it. I am glad I went to Dallas, but I'm still hurting from it. I'm in a financial sink-hole. I need new work.

I'm doing some work for Pete and a few other webcomic artists next week at Comic Con. I'll be in San Diego but I'll be working the whole time. I am going to ask to get at least a 1 or 1.5 hour break daily to hit the gym so I can stay healthy and sane. How crazy is that? I hope its near the convention. I'll be manning the booth, doing inventory, sales, etc, and have been the convention liason and trying to do some scheduling, etc. I have a shitload to get done this week.

Is anyone in San Diego? I'd love to get flown in (yes, all expenses are getting taken care of, plus pay, thank the Lord.) a day early to actually relax for a day on the beach. I think I know one person there, but I think he works all day. Anyone want to take me in and hang out with me Tuesday? Maybe get me drunk? Hmm? No nookie, but I'll laugh at you! Or me. Or everyone else!

Oh, and my stupid kitchen sink is unusable because of multiple leaks, so can't really use the kitchen without getting it kind of gross. Damn. We have a dishwasher, but hard to clean up a lot without the sink. I'll do my best tomorrow as I hate an even marginally dirty kitchen or bathroom. Eeeewwww.

The bartender in the bar downstairs gave me a Monty Python Ale to take home (upstairs) with me tonight to have after finishing my work. I think I'll go pour it. Yum!

work, comic con, pete, home
