Ugh...stiff and sore

Yesterday was fun, regardless of what the title says. A few of us went to Giant Stadium to see the soccer semi-finals with US vs Ecuador. US won, 2-1, however, it wasn't all that deserved. Admittedly, though, Ecuador was playing dirty soccer, stalling, feigning injury, etc, etc, but the US got two goals in the last 5-7 minutes of the game, wow!

So here are a couple of pictures for you guys:
The gang included Patrick, Adam, Sasha, his son John/Jon/Jean/something, myself (not pictured), and Mia (not pictured).

Also a nice shot of the gorgeous sky over the stadium:

Afterwards we all went to the Merchant, as is becoming habit, grrr, and had drinks. Jim's family had come up to see him for the evening, and I think he took them to Liberty State Park before going to dinner at the Merchant. I've met his two brothers, but apparently his little sister is really cute and had on SHORT shorts. Too funny. Gave him crap about that. His older brother is starting to look like Jim, too, which is odd as Jim looks like his father, and they have different fathers. I guess he looks enough like his mother for that similarity. I'll have to look at her picture closely next time I'm over. I saw him in the afternoon before he went to work for a couple of hours. He was wearing shorts and we both were walking in the same direction, so we walked together. The sun hit his legs and I swear I almost went blind. Glad I had on sunglasses... ;)

I left the bar and was on my way to another to get out of the Merchant, and ran into this guy Romano, who was one of the guys who asked me out at the anniversary party. He really is handsome, on second look. He's Brazilian and 40? I think? He's a construction designer or something. He basically creates how apartments and buildings are constructed on the inside. He was a complete drunk tool when I saw him at the bar on Wednesday, but he is pretty nice and charming when he's not trashed. Apparently he was way off game that night and all his friends told him he was an idiot the next day. We had fun and he has an amazing place here. Holy crap, is it cool. It's HUGE, too. I think it's an old warehouse. Gorgeous. I know his roommate, as well, and that guy's family is building the school behind my place, and he saw me outside on my deck the other day. I have to keep that in mind. I definitely need better curtains. Romano and I did have a little falling out, but if he does like me he'll apologize for being an idiot. See, I'm still a Tom Boy, even now. Every so often when out drinking, I'll wrestle someone. Depending on how drunk I am, I can usually hold my own considering the guys are usually much larger than I am. He got a little overenthusiastic and I got pissed. Ah, well. He can call and say he's sorry if he wants. I think he might be walking funny today, though. His friends heard all this thudding and came around the corner to see us wrestling big time on the mats. I think I'd just hooked his ankle and dropped him. Needless to say I am SORE. I have bruises on my arms, lower back, legs, and I think I bit my lip. I'm such a dork.

I need to learn how to throw a good punch, though. I might go for lessons ;)

Doing laundry today and cleaning up a little. Charlotte, Melissa and I are going for a glass of wine later as Melissa is back from ...er...Pakistan? Um, something like that?

Anyhow, weather permitting, Jim and I are going sailing on Dr George's boat a week Sunday. George is the person I hosted a chemistry lab for at Seton Hall. I'm going to be a regular semester fixture, apparently. I'm looking forward to the day on the water.

Okay, back downstairs to get laundry. Joy.
