I've been very busy, and I know that you all have been just DYING to hear about my life.
Sorry, not too much to tell. I've been working a lot, we had our 5th year anniversary at work and I ended up having to work, which made me pissy. I hate when I'm like that. I got into a bad mood and I couldn't break out of it. I wanted to hit myself, I can only imagine what other people were thinking.
I've been working hard at kickboxing, and going regularly. I see a marked difference in my body after 2.5 months. I do. 2 months of going to regular classes, as I only went to the private sessions for 2 weeks. I started getting a bit of cellulite (a bit more than a bit, okay) on my legs in the last couple of years that has been hard to get rid of for me. I was sort of resigning myself to it thinking okay, I'm almost 40, fine.
Well...it's mostly gone after only this short time of doing kickboxing. There's a tiny bit left, and my legs still need to lose some size, but my muscles are definitely getting cut. I can do a lot of pushups, for me, anyhow. And not girly ones either. Full ones. I do need to lose a bit more fat in order to get really cut, but I already have the lines going down my shoulders again, and my quads are getting nice and noticeable again.
Also, I just started Tae Kwon Do today. I'll be doing back to backs, doing an hour of TKD and then an hour of kickbox, or vice versa 3 times a week. Nifty, huh?
I want to advance as fast as I can so I'm going to be working HARD. I can convceivably have my blue with red tag in a little over 2 years. My black would take maybe 5, but maybe not? I think so, as once you get to the blue red you can only advance every 6 months, no faster. I do like it. I can't wait until I get better.
So, here's some pics of me after class. We get SWEATY:
Note the sweat. I'm only dry at that little bit at the top and that's because I rode my bike home slowly chatting to a girl from class, so I dried a little. Ewww.
Off to meet my friend Smahane for drinks. She's a cool chick I met in class and we've become good friends. She's French Moroccan and we get along great. I need a shower. Then a beer.
Ciao!
