Earthquakes - one of the Signs of End of the Age
More and more earthquakes have been taken place recently - in Sichuan, China, Greece and now in Japan. Some of my friends who have no religious belief of any kind also recognize that there is something wrong with this Planet Earth. As a Christian, I must tell all of you the truth, just in case you don't know or haven't heard before. Because someday you will no longer see me... This will happen in 60 years', 40 years', 20 years', or 10 years' time, I don't know the exact date, because it can occur at any moment. Let me explain what is going on.
Two thousand years ago the disciples of Jesus have already asked Jesus, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. (Mathew 24:3-8)
Note that "birth pains" are used as a parable, which means these earthquakes, famines and wars will occur more and more frequently and more and more painfully. This is a sign that the end of this age/ era/ world is approaching. That's why, we, Christians keep preaching the gospel. For one day, all of a sudden, the Church (not the building, but the people who have confessed their sins to God and let Jesus be their Lord and Savior) will be raptured to the heaven and not be seen in this world. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) Then there will be seven years of unprecedented great distress on the world(Mathew 24:9-29) (Daniel 9:26-27) (Revelation 4:1-20:10). There are still chances to believe in God during the seven years of great distress, but those people will have their bodies (not their souls) tortured to death by the anti-Christ. Some of the Israelites will finally understand that Jesus is the Messiah (i.e. Savior) they are waiting for and they will keep on preaching the Gospel during the absence of the Church. Many nations will gather together to war against Israel until Jesus come back to save them. God will then judge all mankind. Each person will be judged according to what he had done. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life(i.e. those who do not believe in Jesus), he will be thrown into the lake of fire and this is the second death. (Revelation 20:11-15) God will then reign the world and there will be a new heaven and a new earth. For those who believe in God, there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. (Revelation 21:1-4)
I truly hope that you, my friends, would-be friends, or anyone unknown to me will recognize these abnormal signs of the end of the age. Believe in God ASAP to escape from the great distress and God's Judgment Day. If you still don't believe, remember what I have just told you. One day you will no longer see the Christians and then you should know that what I said according to the Bible is true. May God's love and protection be with all of you. Amen.
