H/D LDWS and other things
1) The H/D ldws round 6 is over and I've reached 2nd place! Yay!
Congrats to the wonderful slashedsilver for her first place!
I reposted all my entries there on Ao3.
I'm so happy/honoured/humbled/baffled not only to have won second place, but just to have managed to go this far in the competition. Looking at the list of wonderful participants this round had, this is quite unbelievable!
Seriously, I was already overjoyed winning best drabble for the first week, and I thought to myself "That's okay, you can be voted out second week, you've already achieved something". But I didn't get voted out the following week. Nor any other week in fact.
And that's quite something, because each week when the new prompt came out I thought that it was harder and harder and there was no way I would be able to produce anything decent. And each week when the drabbles were posted I thought that every other drabble was so good, there was no way I'd stay...
But yeah, here I am despite all my doubts! I'm happier about my drabbles for some weeks than others, but I'm generally very, very glad about this experience. The mods, vaysh and sassy_cissa were wonderful and did a great job organising it all. (seriously, kudos to them because with participants all over the time zones and the word-check to do every week, it mustn't have been easy + the beautiful banners each week!)
And this experience was very beneficial writing-wise, because I'm the queen of procrastinating and general laziness, and having a weekly deadline with a prompt to focus on and a word-count to abide to really helped me concentrating and motivated me like nothing else, which leads me to n°2: (yes this post is very organized despite what it looks like)
2) My dracotops_harry fic is in beta phase!
I always say I like a challenge and this fic definitely is it, and I'm glad I got to do it. This fest is one close to my heart, and I can't wait for it to start!

3) I've signed up for the hd-tropes exchange!
I always like putting my own spin on tropes and this looks like great fun. I always like exchange fests because I feel the prompting is less confining but also gives more limits, if that makes sense?
You can sign-up until Monday and there are still plenty of slots, so get to it!
