I can't believe i blew off like $500 bucks in one weekend. but it does feel shiok! watched 2 movies through the weekend. first was the devil likes prada. all about high end fashion, and of course all the bitching that all seems so entertaining. though story is crap, but the show was entertaining. didn't fall asleep despite it being a late night movie. and also the being seated in the front few rows does prevent me from falling asleep as the seat was like so freaking uncomfortable. and another movie was the monster house, some kiddy show. also crappy plot but entertaining. it brought me back to my childhood days, as they whole movie is from a child point of view. and watching at cathay certainly helps makes the movie much better. me and tee got seats at the side and there are no ppl in front or behind us. we were like talking so loudly through the movie, with our legs on top of the seat in front. it is like our own private lounge.and not to mentiont he freebies cathay threw in for us. and not to mention the discount. next time all go to cathay!
and i finally bought my digital cam. an olympus fe-190 at $399. went to comex and after some snooping around, still decided to buy the olympus. that is me. once i decide to buy something, i would just go there and despite walking around, i would still go buy the one that i have in mind. yz then bought a new lap top. makes my heart itchy also. i think i wait until next yr i buy from nus. imagine can surf net and watch movie on your bed. shiok!
and i actually went to the airport twice this week. i must be crazy. once after expo and once yest. yz comment on the sq girls sort of cracked me up. he was saying how come most of them have tat 'i am a sq girl. i am so pretty and you disgusting guys stop looking like me. oh i feel so molested.' attitude. did saw a stuck up look one. and on sun, me and tee were discussing how fat one of the girls are. i am not flaming the sq girls here, it's just an observation that we have made. and i really think their job is not as glamourous as what others think. imagine having to be a waitress in the sky, having to clean toilets, put up with demanding passengers and to suffer the jet lag. we also headed to the budget terminal. really a ghost town since there weren't any flight taking off or landing when we got there. and it was really budget. looks like a giant warehouse with a few check in counter and a food stand. and the arrival hall is worse. actully reminds me of airports in those under developed places. a difference of $5 is really a lot in terms of service for passengers. and the most ironic thing would be coming up with a competition on naming the terminal, and they eventually chose the name 'budget terminal'. how crap!
after 3 days of rest, i don't feel like going back to work. suffering from true blue monday blues now...
