The black out today came just at the right time. I had nothing much to do and was feeling absolutely bored in the office. Everyone was busy with their own stuff while i just sat there and day dream. suddenly, 'pop' and the lights in the office went off, computers were shut down too.
Then you can see many office ladies screaming "ah!!!", shouting "shit" "oh man" and whatever. Never save their work. Think all is gone. then after a while, we all realise the whole office tower is gone. we soon realise that the whole area suffered a black out. a few of us then stood by the window to tok cock and realised that the traffic lights below are not working. It is funny seeing how cars have to cut each other to turn at junction and how pedestrains scramble across the road with no traffic rules. Then bad news came, they said the lift were not working. and hello, we are on the 15th floor. listened to radio and realise that many areas had blackout. it is funny when the dj said something " at (whatever place) the traffic lights are not working, at (whatever place) the traffic lights are not working too. There seems to be too many traffic lights not working" So we sat at the meeting desk and had snacks until off work time, where the dept went for a meal, courtesy of the company. luckily the power to the elevators were restored.
Reminds me of the massive black out 2 years back. Still remember the next day paper was physics prelim and i had to mug in the dark. with candles n torchlight.
