Alright so here I am, ready to lj for you people. Baaah. (Like a lamb...O_o)
Anyway, yes so I was desperately looking for people to accompany me to the soup kitchen this Saturday since, sadly, none of the actual members of my club want to go. Lazy bums... Well, others were busy with dogsitting, house-sitting, mad amounts of homework, or managing bands, APPARENTLY, but luckily Mister Michael never has anything to do (haha, j/k =D) so he agreed to come along. And Marky woke up just in time for us to drag him along, too! How fortunate. Except he left a banana and soup kitchen hat in my car. He will pay! This visit wasn't as fun as the first but it was still a good time. Volunteering at the soup kitchen is fun, so I think next month we should all go! Yes? Yes, of course, Liz. Awesome.
Pika's sister's house is very nice. Damn. And her sister's dog is adorable. Except for the whole spanking thing which Pika didn't quite explain...yeah.
Getting your hair cut by crazy people is a bad idea. Especially when they claim to know what they're doing but are constantly laughing, giggling, and saying "Hmmm...that's not straight..." behind your back. It's a good thing I have so much trust in Alena and Way or else a) I wouldn't have asked them to do it in the first place or b) I would've ran away the moment they came out with a big cup of water to pour over my head. In any case, my hair is now slightly shorter and nobody seems to be able to tell. Good job! Remind me next time that it's Maya and Cassie's turn.
Adventures in snowboarding are in interesting. I woke up at 5:20 AM to the telephone ringing and at first I was terribly, terribly confused. I thought it might be Brian Marsh asking to bum another ride to school. Wait a sec...today isn't a school day!!! Oh, it's from the callbox. Oh yeah, we're going snowboarding today. Oh yeah, I WAS SUPPOSED TO WAKE UP HALF AN HOUR AGO! So after letting Way-Jen into the gate and leaving my front door open so she could get in, I run around the house in a mad rush to get ready. Apparently I'm really good because I was pretty much done within the five minutes it took Way to get to my house, park, come inside and scare the living daylights out of me (even though I KNEW she was coming in...I left the door open O_o). Besides several random things that I later thought of, I was ready to go... Too bad they guys took way longer than they said and didn't even end up coming till around 6.
In any case, besides sleeping the entire road trip up the mountain, we played hearts, listened to loud music, and I was amused when Way-Jen asked "Are we there yet?" even though we were hardly close to any mountains (not mention not actually being on one yet =P). After much swearing, commendable driving, and little patience, we reached the parking lot where the guys shooed me and way so that we could rent our gear early-ish. Me and Way head over to the shuttle stop (me in the pants that were slightly too big and jacket that was slightly to small, and Way in a jacket and gloves that were both waaaaay too big, hahaha) and the stupid shuttle trucks kept stopping in the WRONG FRICKEN place. I didn't seem to matter that the guys made us go early cuz we ended up getting on the same shuttle anyway, thanks to idiotic shuttle drivers. After renting gear and not having any fricken change to get a locker, Way and I took a 2-hour lesson to get the basics down and, exhausted after so much new learned knowledge (or, actually, after much pain and tired legs), we took a lunch break and ended up sitting on the stairs cuz there were absolutely NO empty seats. Damn crowded slopes. But of the course, the crowdedness doesn't stop there. The bunny slopes are wrought with inexperienced people going too slow or uncontrollably fast and of course, always falling down. Well, of course, we were included in those inexperienced peoples, but that's beside the point. I failed to successfully get off the lift the first two times but after four triumphs in a row, I'd say I'm pro. Go me and my falling leaf technique! My heel edge is awesome and my toe edge sucked in the beginning. I don't think I really got it until my very last run. I'll be able to do awesome snowboarding S's someday. Just you wait and see. I just have to go more often O_o. I don't think I fell on my last run! YAY! Everyone else had to wait for me, Way, and Nathaniel since Nathaniel took the keys. The road home was uneventful except for playing the alphabet game. Damn rare letters like J, Q, and Z. Hey guys, let's go snowboarding!
Anyway, I still think school sucks, in case you had any doubts. This is probably why I don't lj that often - I'm too incoherent for anybody to understand. I'm awesome.
