Brown Christmas?

Dec 20, 2006 22:40

So for the first time in as long as I can remember, there's going to be next to no snow on the ground in Fargo for Christmas. The forecast is for weather that's sunny (!) and above freezing (!!) for the next 10 days. We've had hardly any snow all year, so everything is just dead grass and trees. Yeah, it looks miserable, and so depressing. But I can't decide yet if that's worse than constantly having snow in my shoes or socks or whatever. I mostly loathe winter weather, so the longer we get a reprieve from it, the happier I will be.

I got my shopping done for everyone but my family. My family is very difficult to shop for. A large part of that is me though, because some of the stuff they like the most I can't bring myself to buy, e.g. "Larry the Cable Guy." I can't support that, even by proxy. Sorry family. :/

I've worked 32.5 hours so far this week. Good lord. Tons of free soda and tons of rap have kept me goin', but I'm going to crash so hard once all these overtime weeks are finished up.

I didn't have much to say except for the weather shit, which just totally baffles me. I'll have to post up my albums of the year next week sometime. I'm still working out the stuff after the first 5 to 8 or so. That stuff's pretty much on lock, but you know, it gets hairy around there. I realized the other day that the best time to do these lists would be the year after. If I had to do my last year list over again, it'd be so much different. And The Joggers would've been some top 5 shit because With a Cape and a Cane is fucking ridiculous. Those goddamn guitars.

Anyway, I'm going to do laundry now.
