"I remember the video message where he addressed me in 2005 after my first world champion title. He congratulated me and told me how proud he and Switzerland were of me. I was very touched by the simplicity and the sincerity of his persona. The following year, I met him when he came to play at Sion with Yves Allegro for his foundation. We ate together and chatted over a glass. He gave me good advice on how to manage a career in sports. I admired his class, his determination, and his intelligence. Despite his success, he seems never to have changed anything in his way of viewing life and of understanding his sport. That's impressive!"
