I thought I was burned out on this election, but -- the text of Barack Obama's speech. It's long, it's surprising, it's keenly critical of race discourse in America. I'm just not USED to public figures being unafraid to sound smart, to be smart. I feel confused.

There are so many delicious actiony movies in the works for 2008 and 2009. Many of them awesomely BAD. And by bad I mean GOOD. Let's review:
Terminator 4. OH YES.
The Dark Knight. Of course.
Sequel to The Italian Job, titled The Brazilian Job. Serious.
New James Bond movie, HBP (Snape!), lots of others. Here is a list of expected blockbusters.
Then there is the new GATCHAMAN MOVIE (2009), for which I am JOYOUS, made by the animation team that did TMNT a couple years ago. Here is some promo art from the movie. OMG! They're also doing Astroboy. Whatev. GATCHAMAN! NINJAS OF SCIENCE.
