Six songs I'm loving these days, huh? Well, my music collection is seriously stunted right now, having not the drivespace to rip cds or download much, but anyway.

The Arcade Fire - Haiti

I've had this album for ages, but hadn't listened to it since my mp3 player broke a couple of months back. It's just one of those songs with a decent beat, a lot of random sounds carrying the melody (like most The Arcade Fire tracks) and some interesting vocal work. The lyrics are a bit of alright too, I suppose. It's just one of those trcks that can be "grooved" to, a prime candidate for some shoulder shufflin' action.

Charlie Daniels Band - Devil went down to Georgia

I can't argue with awesome fiddle action. Damn! Thanks to Steve for hosting the track.

Fleetwood Mac - Tusk

An odd one, pimped by some bum on a forum. It's got a pretty cool repeating melody, brass and drums, which is pretty tops in my book. I don't have a lot to say about this song, since the entire song's about 32 seconds long, then repeated for three and a half minutes. It's nothing great, but still enjoyable, if you get my drift.

Jefferson Airplane - Somebody to Love

I really love 60s guitars. They just sound so cool, I demand to know why modern guitar based music doesn't sound this good. Nice vocals too, harmonies are fun. But it's all in the guitars. Pimped by Jeebuz. I've got nothing more on this song.

Lemon Demon - Ebaums world dot com

Bam! Mediocre vocals, synth piano, insanely catchy and a beautiful message to boot. The video clip is second to none, too. It's one of those songs that demands to be sung along to while you play it. Loudly. On repeat.

Momus - Adam Green

Harpsichord! I love this instrument. This song also comes with an assortment of random sounds in the background to help carry the beat, all very electronic, but damn if I don't love it. Catchy as hell, a simple tune and plenty of funky syncopation make this one a winner. If my name were Howard, I too would dress up in a cummerbund and fez. Tell me you wouldn't.

Tagging people, then.
