Hi all! First off I'd like to say thanks to all who've been concerned about me, and all who've been putting up with me lately. ;-) Secondly, if you've got "have rotator cuff surgery" on your list of things to do before you die, you can scratch it right off! I'll vouch that it sucks. =P The surgery actually went well...Dr. Joe fixed the tendon tear and took off the bone spur and a lot of inflamed bursa. I even have a small labral tear too, but he thinks that will heal on it's own as long as I behave. That's the real hard part, behaving. My husband is very frusrated with me. I've been in the sling for 18 days now, and who would've thought putting on socks with one hand would be so difficult? It took a week before I was brave enough to try and put on a bra, and we won't even talk about how long it has taken me to type this far... *g* I had my first follow-up visit on Wednesday this week, and Dr. Sexy said things look good so far. I had a choice of staying on the Percocet or trying Vicodin, which isn't as strong. Stoopid me, I tried the Vicodin and had a bad reaction to it. Two days and I was sick as a dog, so now I'm back on the heavy stuff again. Ah well. Another two weeks in the sling, and then I start physical therapy. So that's pretty much what's going on here...I've been reading a lot of books, so if anyone has any good suggestions I'm all ears. I've been going through some of James Patterson and Janet Evanovich. Think I might try P.D. James, as Ki and Mirk seem fond of her. Cheers and hugs for all, especially
ki_kiwigirl. Been thinking of you. ♥
