Land Use Conference- Volunteering
Well, I had a lot of fun. Yesterday I registered people, and made sure they had all their materials, and knew where they were going. Today I had to basically coordinate things for "my" session (make sure the PowerPoints and other media worked properly [contact tech. support with any problems], help the speakers pass out materials, pass out session evaluation sheets, let the speakers know when they have five min. left, etc.). They talked about variances :) Major bonus: we were free to attend any session that didn't directly conflict w/our volunteering, and we got lots of free food and beverages. I gave one of the speakers a copy of my resume and I expect to be getting e-mail from him about a paper he's currently working on.
