This is what's going on off my back yard right now.
I have a suspicion that the effect in this one is caused by the image sensor in my camera crying for mercy, so I'm going to stop now. :P
A little earlier we were driving through it. GLAD TO BE HOME. Thunderstorms aren't actually that common in Nova Scotia, and spectacular light shows like this are even more rare.
