Fangirls, fangirls everywhere.

Today, my coworker expressed the opinion that he thinks there are far more fanboys than fangirls. I informed him that that had not been my experience. I believe he's still sceptical. I don't really care, because:

- Last week, this BC fan was in the audience for the Graham Norton Show with Cumberbatch and Pine, and this happened. So much love for her, Pine, Cumberbatch, and all the kooky, kooky fans who get on a plane and fly halfway around the world or go for a twenty-hour bus ride just to breathe the same air as these people.

- Afterwards, J was a little judgmental, because really, going all that way and spending all that money to see someone for an hour or two? And then I started reading him some reviews from The Tempest, and he was all like, would it be nuts for us to hop a plane and go see it when we're already planning to go in September?

me: You're actually thinking about it, aren't you?

him: Um. Yes.

me: You know what this makes you, right?

him (hangs head): A fangirl.

me: (punches air)

- And then yesterday, J was at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, doing his volunteering schtick, and two young women in their mid-twenties, kind of butch, possibly a couple, came in. In talking up the museum, he mentioned that Merlin (the museum parrot) is in the next room. The women looked at him, confused.

J: No, not Colin Morgan.

The women stared at him for another moment, then looked at one another and giggled. CONFIRMATION.

me: You have fangirl-dar, don't you?

J (proudly): I do.

So basically, my coworker can suck it, because I have two fangirls right in my own house. :)
