Lewis and Festivids

Jan 23, 2012 10:33

Had a lovely dream last night that Lewis Series 6 ended with Hathaway kissing Lewis and then running away. END OF SERIES. On second thought, not so nice. :D

If you want a happier scenario, check out shemmelle's first entry into Lewis fandom, Familia Electum. It's a sweet, gentle story from Lewis' son's point of view.

And I spent a bit of time over the weekend devouring some of the awesome Festivids out there! Still haven't seen all the ones I want to see, but I've seen enough to come up with a fairly long recs list, so here you go:

20th Century Boys (original A-Team) - I think this is the first A-Team vid I've seen, and it's such fun. Oh, boys.

All Is Not Lost (Babylon 5) - Reminded me of one of the things I loved most about this extraoridnary show - the characters. So sad to remember three of the original cast are gone.

You Might Think (Bringing Up Baby) - The editing on this brings out a lot of the laughs from the original movie, and it fits David and Susan so well.

Hillman Breakdown (A Different World) - I'd forgotten how much I loved A Different World. Damn, now I want to see if the DVDs are available. /o\

Awake My Soul (Doctor Who) - A Sarah Jane vid. Have tissues handy.

Waterloo (Down With Love) - I always thought there was tremendous femmeslash potential in Down With Love, and this vid proves it.

My Aviator (The Great Mouse Detective) - A great vid and a great song choice, but don't blame me if you watch this and end up slashing mice.

The Undeserving Rich (Jeeves and Wooster) - An utterly brilliant vid set to Stanley Holloway's rendition of "With a Little Bit of Luck". Genius clip matching.

Poor, Poor Pitiful Me (Mythbusters) - It's a Buster vid. Do you really need any more than that?

Me Against the Music (Red) - I have a confession to make: I love Red to distraction, and this vid captures everything I love about it, from the teamwork to Helen Mirren being awesome. And any song choice that makes Karl Urban Britney and Bruce Willis Madonna gets my vote.

Better Smeg than Dead (Red Dwarf) - The Red Dwarf team set to the theme from Friends. Just a great feel-good piece.
