R.I.P. Jack Layton
Canada suffered a tragic loss this morning... the leader of the Official Opposition ended his courageous battle with cancer, at home and surrounded by family. Having experienced firsthand what it is like to watch a loved one fight to the bitter end, I know that Jack is now in a better place where there is no longer any pain.
In his final letter to Canadians, he said, "My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world."
Rest peacefully, Jack. You'll always be missed but you'll always be an inspiration.
