At some point during the experimentation of Rose's book, they manage to migrate to Kanaya's room. Sitting opposite each other on Kanaya's bed with legs crossed, Rose pours over her book while Kanaya watches. When things become a touch more complicated, Rose produces her wands - "Knitting needles," Kanaya had asked -- from seemingly bottomless pockets in her jacket which was now left abandoned on the floor of Kanaya's bedroom.
Rose mostly produces silly things. Beams of light, clothing changes, turns one of Kanaya's bags into a bottomless expanse of nothingness for her to fit her entire life into, should she choose.
It dissolves into Rose creating random things out of balls of light, Kanaya laughing across from her, hard enough that Rose is fairly sure she sees tears in her eyes. Finally, Rose closes the book, tossing her wands back towards her jacket to put back into her pockets later. Kanaya's recovering from her fit of giggling when Rose pushes her book out of the way, leans forward onto her hands, and leans in close enough to invade Kanaya's personal space.
Green eyes stare into violet and both of them freeze for a moment at the close proximity that Rose has instigated.
Kanaya grins knowingly. "My, Miss Lalonde. You're quite forward, aren't you?"
"Only in special circumstances," Rose assures her.
As she leans closer, her aim is misfired at the sudden loud exclamation of, "Oh, gosh! I am so sorry. Oh geeze, this is- Kan, I am so, so sorry." Jade stands, Terezi at her side, looking rather awkward at what she had just interrupted her, while Rose's lips manage to graze Kanaya's cheek. Misfire indeed.
Rose settles back, tries not to think some rather heinous thoughts at Terezi who looks as though she might burst into laughter at any moment.
