I'm a lucky man, with fire in my hands.
Well I haven't wrote in a long time. I figure I'll catch up today if I have enough time:
[] We came back from the cruise if you haven't noticed. I've been back for about a week now. We had a good time, but a cruise is not our family's ideal vacation. Our family likes to explore and on a big boat there's really nothing to explore like there is when we...leave the country.
[] Our foreign exchange student that used to live with us is flying in from France to see us. I miss her, and excited to see her. She's staying for the week, and I TOTALLY tore down my room so she could stay upstairs with me. (WOW, that was so weird, she JUST called as I was typing that). I think she's coming to my French class. Hopefully some extra credit points will be earned. wink wink.
[] My life has been totally consumed by school lately. My parents saw my grades and basically put me on life arrest. My parents don't ground me, I don't think they ever would, unless I like, commited a serious crime. The only reasons my grades suck is because 1) I've been gone alot, I wasn't staying home for personal reasons, but because I've been doing school things, 2) I'm SOOOO sick of dumb ridiculous busy work that I don't do it. I never intended to do it. My parents said that if my grades didn't go up then I would have to quit the UIO band. And I'm not willing to do that. Thankfully, fine arts season ended, jazz band ended, and running around getting ready for the cruise has already been done, so life is alot slower. Grades are rising.
[] Went to see the USS Battfish today with Ms. Battenfield's American History class. Yet another day of school I miss. It was actually really interesting besides the old grandma basement smell that came along with it. Ms. Battenfield's former father in law was actually on the submarine so he told us alot more about it than the actual tour guide guy. Then we went to McDonald's. That's when the real field trip started people said.
[] Friday night at 7 commenced the Beauty Bash we had for the Mpact girls. It was so fun!! I really thought it was going to be super lame, but it was actually a ton of fun! I played guitar and kinda led worship with Ashley Newburn, who happens to be the coolest ever. Service was great and we played games and danced till 2. The next day we took self defense courses, makeup and pedicure classes. We had a mini-fashion show, where me and a bunch of girls got clothes from gordman's and had a run-way and everything. I actually went back and bought the clothes I wore. It's very cute.
[] I can't wait for this summer. I want to get to know my music so much better. I can't wait to see what this summer holds. I have so much to do!!! I want to get really good for jazz band, and get really good at guitar and develop my voice. I'm kinda excited about all the work. I actually want to get a job. I want to look into a job maybe at Barnes & Noble, or at the church or something. I'm excited.
