dial tones tend to make me cry

This holiday has been really nice. My family (technically my mom haha) usually stresses about all the parties and stuff we have at my house. But this year, I don't know what came over her but she was very relaxed. I think it was cause she got a new car and was just very content.

My family was really blessed this year. I got everything I needed. So did the rest of my family, and everything else that we could ever need. I'm really grateful for everything.

FRIDAY:
I woke up semi late and hung out with Dad and the kids. We didn't even start cleaning up till after 12 for the party later that night. Around 4 Danny came over "Are you guys home?" he asked when he called. I told him we were and that I wanted to give him his present when he got here. He showed up with two presents, one for me and one for my mom. As soon as he walked through the door "Lacy, I was at the mall all last night looking for a cool scarf and beanie and I can't find them! It's really starting to make me frustrated, I really want a cool one" I sympathized and pushed him through the game room to the living room and made him sit on the couch. I threw his present at him. "what is it? Tell me", "um...no. Open it." It took him over 10 minutes just to get up the guts to do it. I guess he didn't like the crowd my family had made over it. He opened the box and wouldn't even open his eyes till my little brother jabbed him in the eye hahaha. I was getting ready to do it if Jake hadn't! When he opened his eyes he saw the perfect tan scarf and chocolate colored beanie that screamed "DANNY!" all over it. When I saw it at the store I looked at it, and thought "this is so him, I can't do anything else but buy it for him" I didn't even know he wanted one till the day after I went shopping. He jumped up to run and smashed me into the couch. "THIS IS SO GREAT LACY" I was so happy that he liked it. I didn't even care about what he got me, I was just happy that he adored the scarf and hat. I wrapped it around him like I do mine and he put the beanie on. "Ok, get your stuff packed. We're moving to London Danny", "Ok! I'm ready for it!" He looked so cool in it. Around 5 all my family started to come in. Grandma, grandpa, Judith Ann, Shane, and girlfriend, Jordan, Marsha... He made me promise that I would not open my present till the next day on Christmas while we sat in my room and listened to my new Beatles cd. The next morning I opened it and he got me stuff from Bath and Body works, that smells really good. He got my mom this little Christmas scene with a Santa on it. Theres a piece of glass behind him that says "The light of Christmas fills the world with piece". You light a little tea lamp behind it so it glows. It's really pretty. He did a good job. Ok, well he left around 5:15 blaring Elvis' Christmas cd after we took some pictures and my family starting pouring in. The usualy kisses and hugs and "aw Lacy, when you start driving you have to stop by" Everyone brought in the usual queso and tortilla wraps. We have weird Christmas food. Grandma and Grandpa brought in big trash bags full of grandkid presents. My grandma's pretty writing on each label. We socialized while everyone got here until finally my mom said "is everyone here?? Why aren't we eating??" So all the kids lined up and got good food. My family makes awesome food. I'm not even joking. Later, as the tradition goes the youngest kids give all the Christmas presents to everyone else. Everyone finds a chair and sits until a little kid brings them their present that was stacked with the rest on our automan. Usually they're really young and you have to explain to them that "No, Joe is over there by the fireplace, I'm so-and-so" It's a good way for them to learn everyone's name when they're young. I opened $20 to Barnes and Noble from my grandparents. And a HUGE alligator suitcase full of really good makeup that my cousin gave me. Everything was really incredible. I'm not very social and feel so different from my family but this year was good. At Kohls my dad bought my grandpa this pair of silky black boxers with bright red kisses and words all over them as a gag gift. My WHOLE family knew about it besides my grandparents. When he opened it up my grandma said "well dad! I wish we would have had them while we were staying in Branson!!" Of course everyone giggled. It was a really classic moment. My grandma is so cute. hehe. Everyone had a great time and caught. I learn alot more about my family everytime I see them. They can be chaotic sometimes but they're so great. Lots of cleanup and later I went to bed.

SATURDAY:
My sister woke me up at 4. "LACY!!!!!!! You didn't wake me up at 3 so we could peek in at the stockings. I'm really mad at you." I rolled over "ABBY!! I'm sorry, give me a second" and I sat up. We tiptoed our way to the living room where my parents had filled the stockings and set out "santa's" things. It's our tradition to peak. Ever since she believed in him and could comprehend Santa. She doesn't anymore but its still fun to. I imagine in a year or two I'll be waking up Jake so we can do that. But, then again, I don't do it this year cause I know he would never go back to sleep. So after that we went back up to my room where I went back to sleep and Abby laid there till 6:30 waiting. We woke Jake up and got my parents together. We opened mp3 players and xboxes and books and headphones and spider man pajamas and purses and luggage and portable dvd players and cologne and sweaters and pants and new car speakers till 7. It was so incredible. I can't believe we got all that. Everyone was so happy with everything they got. My dad had to install and program everthing that required it. He installed my new speakers in my car and helped me find software so I could rip music for my new mp3 player. It's really nice. Holds a gigabyte. I already have 150 songs in it. I'm praying I don't go over. I sat and watched my sister's new Harry Potter DVD till I fell asleep on the couch. When I woke up I got on the internet and talked to Paige. She said that her parents were driving her crazy. I told her that Wal-Mart was open 365 and she came and got me within 20 minutes. We ended up seeing Spanglish. I love the BA theatre, the one by South. It has the be the worst kept ever but it's so...Broken Arrow. We got in there a little late and sat down in front of everyone because all the back ones were taken. The credits started right as we came in. My seat was broken and it felt like my butt was hitting the floor. So I made Paige scoot over one. Of course the two little girls behind us had their feet beside Paige's face when she moved and everyone watched us squirm. When the Spongebob trailor starting rolling all the jocks in the back go "SPONGEBOB!!!!" me and Paige so "WOOOOOO!" like we did that back and forth three or four times. Me and her really picked up where we left off 7 or 8 months ago. I understand that it's ok if we're not BEST friends. But doing stuff like that made me realize how much I needed a friend this summer and last spring. We cracked jokes and laughed during the whole thing. I'm sure the people behind us HATED us, hehe. During the movie Paige leaned over and said "I feel like we really bonded with the people in the theatre. I wish I could stay here forever with them" of course she was being sarcastic. We fell apart laughing. Spanglish last 2 and a half hours. I told my mom that I would call her when the movie was out. It started at 8. Around 9:45 she called and yelled at me for not calling her when the movie was out. "No, the movie is not even FINISHED!" She was like "that's dumb.". 10:30 I stepped in and went upstairs. Danny called and talked for a while. He was in fast mode. "have you been drinking coffee again??", "no 2 mountain dews and a pepsi 10 minutes ago." We talked about jazz band and the drum line. Got off the phone. Watched the rest of SNL, then I fell asleep. Merry Christmas.
