I never seem to be able to do get into a permanent system, when it comes to moving. The best move that I have had to date, I came home from work each day and packed boxes. I numbered the boxes and used a spiral notebook to record the highlights in each box. It wasn't perfect, but it seemed easier to write a number on multiple sides, then a room name or basic contents. Also I was able to easily find important stuff, when I got to my new place. The unpacking went incredibly fast. If you are able to hire movers, I would really grill them about their plans. Especially on how much "man" power you are getting for your money. Both times that I used professional movers, I ended up having to help load the truck, because they didn't send enough people. However it was nice to not have to worry about enough people showing up to help. Do you have parking spaces under your building? Are you using all of your parking spaces? Would they allow you to put a POD or Mini or something in your space? We have been considering doing that this time. If you knew someone with a business, that would allow you to bring in your stuff to their shipping department, get their help palletizing it, and use their shipping rates, you could save money that way. I had a friend move from the Portland area to the Atlanta area that way. If you decided to take a lot of furniture with you, you still might have to look at movers or U-Haul for that portion. Okay, enough thoughts on that matter. Finding ways to deal with bitchiness, that doesn't involve too much fallout for those around us is a challenge. Sometimes really brisk exercise will help. Other times the right book or movie. I had a friend go through a really difficult period and she took to watching the Terminator Movie often. It began to spook her family. :) Most important is to keep taking care of yourself.
Luckily, the bitchy seems to be gone without any big damage having happened. It's just that damn Aunt Flo, you know? I love being a woman, and I try to embrace her as being part of the package, but she just drives me up the wall, you know? ;)
