Loneliness and Programming

Torchwood’s computers were alive. And they’d thrown a petulant fit earlier, scrolling lines of angry code up the monitors, though only Tosh understood the complaints. The others had looked to her to fix it, so here she was, down in the mainframe, trying to sort the problem.

She patted a flashing cable, saying, “You feel left out too?”

She jumped as the cable wrapped around her wrist and pulled her closer to the heart of the Hub.

“I really shouldn’t,” she started, then other cables wound pleadingly round her, and she smiled.

“Well, alright. But turn off the CCTV first.”
