OMG OMG I'm so happy!!! I love it!
In Argentina, we usually get the new albums at least one month after the real release; so you can imagine how excited I was when I found out they were selling the album already.
I found out on Fryday and my Dad was supposed to buy for me on Monday but I couldn't help myself :P
And when we arrived home and I finally play the cd (it took me like and hour because I was studying ¬¬) my dad said:
- "But this is Patrick!"
- "Yeah, dad, it is Patrick"
- "Oh I thought it was a new band you discovered. If I had known it was him, I wouldn't have bought you the cd" ¬¬
He just wants to makes me mad but I'm happy that he recognized his voice <3
I'm very in love with the album art, both the cover/back cover and the booklet. But I was VERY dissapointed by the lack of lyrics of the booklet, at least include more pictures ¬¬
The songs and incredibly awesome!! I couldn't listen to it completly several times because I had been studying all weekend but I instanly fell in love with Tiffany Blews and 20 Dollars Nose Bleed. Patrick and Brendon should sing together all the time.
Why, oh, why Peter? Why does he sings? I don't like it at all.
The clapping in The (Shipped) Gold Standard remainds me of a Rihanna song :P
Also, I couldn't help to squee when Patrick says "fucked" during 27
I have to give What a Catch, Donnie another try but I still don't like it that much...
And the lyrics on West Coast Smoker, Knock once for the father, twice for the son, three times for the holy ghost gives me the creeps...
I really REALLY like the music, I mean, I always pay attention to Patrick the most but Joe's riffs are incredible and the Andy, oh Andy! <3
Now I get why the band is saying that this is the best album they released yet. It's very danceable but you can still recognize the good old rock they had since the beginning, like Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes and She's my Winona (ooh the thunder!!!! :P). I love the "naked" guitar in that song.
LOL I ended up talking about all the songs :P
Me being all excited :)
