Sunday night....
Dreary Sundays always make me so lazy, but today, I actually have some energy so I thought I'd write on LJ before I get lazy. :)
My Dad & Kathy stopped by to see us tonight. Daddy has GOT to get to the doctor...he looks exhausted and had no strength. WORRIES ME!!
The past few weeks have had it's ups and downs....I always talk a little about stuff on FB, but I don't want all those people knowing ALL my business so I usually just save it for here.
Last weekend (the 18th-19th), my friend Izzy from NC came up to through a "Slumber Party" at my place....if you don't know what that is....check out the link: http://www.slumberparties.com/
About 13 of my friends & family showed up for the party (NANNY included!!!) and it was hilarious!
Izzy has been a consultant for Slumber Parties for almost 2 years and I promised her I'd be a hostess for one. I rushed around like a crazy person, making sure my place was clean and all the snacks were ready to go. Everyone showed up at once, which was a little overwhelming but I had a great group of girls that stayed for the entire demonstration! We were laughing so hard the entire night & Nanny was a RIOT!! There's one point, where Izzy passes around certain "TOYS" for the ladies to check out and Nanny kept saying, "Back in my day, I didn't need a huge purple vibrator...I had the real thing!!!" hahahaha!! I love that woman more than anything!!
The party ended around 9:30 that night and one by one, each person goes into a separate room with Izzy to order stuff.
Well, the sales in total wound up being over $700! I got 10% of the profits towards whatever free gifts I wanted!!! :) So I got $70 worth of FREE merchandise AND a free gift for being a hostess!! Woowoo!
Stayed up WAY too late that night talking with Izzy...and Mikey since we let him come back home. He had to help Izzy carry out all the lingerie out to her truck...at MIDNIGHT. Imagine what the neighbors thought!
There was one time when we were playing a game during the demonstration where Izzy would hold up an index card with a letter of the alphabet, and whoever shouted out a DIRTY word FIRST, got to hold onto that card....at the end, whoever had the most cards, won a prize. It came down to my co-worker's friend, and my MOM!!! The things my male neighbor heard.....omg. Bless him. He probably was so confused on what was going on! hahaha.
So I slept terribly that night...woke up the next morning with HUGE, swollen eyes (which hadn't happened in MONTHS) and of course, my "Murry" full blast.
ALL right before going to my friend, Marina's, wedding!!!!
I was a mess.
But I got it together and put makeup on even though my eyes looked like a MONSTER with puffy bags underneath & were really sore.
Got to the ceremony early and hung out with my girls:

As SOON as the ceremony started and Marina walked in, I was a BASKET CASE of tears! OMG it was so embarrassing....3 reasons:
1) Her mom died IN the Towers on 9/11 and it really hurt my heart to know she didn't have her mom there on her wedding day =*(
2) My hormones were outta whack
3) Eye infection kept making my eyes pour
It really seemed like I was at a funeral!! I couldn't STOP. Mikey didn't know what to do with me!! Niki joked that people were going to think I was the Groom's mistress. hahaha..
I kept my sunglasses on the entire Cocktail hour...which was FANTASTIC..probably the best I've ever been to....all the normal stuff but then there were stations of Chinese, Pasta, Fajitas, Sushi, etc....
I dried my eyes before we went to the actual ballroom...
The Reception was one of the best I've EVER been to!! Italians from NY know how to PART-AY!! I danced a LOT!!! *BOTH* times my USHER songs came on, though, I was in the bathroom! I RAN out to dance haha I made it in time for "YEAH" but not for "DJ's got us falling in love" =(
Mikey & I slow danced which is always wonderful. <3
Niki had some cran & Vodka's...and then just so straight up Vodka and got out on the dance floor with us!

Ohhh I should probably post some pics from the Slumber Party, too, while I'm at it, right? Actually, I'm going to do that in a separate post since I want to make it 'friends only' for that. Check out the next one I post for those pics :)
SO...what else---well, we took off the following Monday & I had 2 CT Scans to get done of my pelvic region AND my abdominals....I've had severe pain for weeks so....I drank the "apple smoothie" contrast dye stuff and went for it...STILL haven't heard back from the doctors. I also had blood work done a few days prior....I called my doctor on Friday.....the receptionist told me they couldn't find my FILE! WTF!!! I'm upset :(
Anyways...I'm feeling ok today but alllll week I had a nasty cough on top of everything. It's this up and down weather and temperature!! I can't feel normal anymore!! I come home from work each night completely wiped out...and now with a cough like a beast! ugh!
So, I will give my docs until tomorrow or else they're going to have a crazy lady on their hands!
I'd rather be suffering now and get it outta the way because ONE week from today, we'll be staying 2 nights at the Cashtown Inn again with Mikey's family (Gettysburg). His uncle is taking us all to Harper's Ferry in WEST VIRGINIA for a few hours (it's only an hour south of G-burg) next Sunday! http://www.nps.gov/hafe/photosmultimedia/ Seriously, look how cuteeee this town is! And it was a big deal during the Civil War! I've never been to WV so I'm excited to add that to my list of states I've been to! :)
Staying in G-burg, Sunday-Tuesday....So Niki is in charge of my place and the kitties.
Thank God she loves staying with them because in less than 2 weeks, we're going to *CHICAGO!* I CANNOT WAIT and I'm so pumped that it's coming up so fast! First up, is Cedar Point in Ohio which I'm extra psyched for!!
October is just going to be so exciting! As long as all my results come back ok from the Doctors office, I'll be a happy camper!
Work is work. Not much new going on there...some days are awesome and I love it and other days I really just wish I could win the Mega Millions already. =/
Anyways...I'm done rambling for now...gotta go watch my J-E-T-S in an hour! this week in Fantasy Football, I'm playing Mikey!! I NEED TO WIN! We made a sidebet :)
