My life lately :)
Well, hellllllllllllllo.
The past two weeks have been busy and fun and wonderful!
5 days in Wildwood was awesome! Mikey’s family is always so good to me when we stay with them. Despite some crappy weather, things went really well!
Bad things that happened to me:
1) Got “bumped” by a jellyfish..not actually stung, but it obviously touched me and made my entire leg go numb-within the first 3 hours of getting there! ugh!
2) Got stuck on top of the Ferris Wheel during a WIND STORM!! I was hyperventilating!!! Don’t laugh!! I was terrified!
3) After the Ferris Wheel incident, I went to use the bathroom and the Zipper on my pants went flying across the room!! My pants were COMPLETELY Destroyed and I had to WADDLE to a nearby store to pay $15 bucks for cheap sweatpants!!!
4) There was more but I won’t bore ya with that haha
I had lots of YUMMY food and sweets all week, though at least hahaha
I had the BEST Strawberry Daquiri at hot tub swim up bar in the water park!!! It was amazing! I’ve wanted to do that for YEARS!!!
My sister took wonderful care of the babies for us but when I got home that night, Ruby was going NUTS and loving us!!!! Gemma gave us the COLD SHOULDER!!! It’s usually the other way around! KITTIES! Spoiled rotten brats! Hahaha I was so happy to give them lots of kisses!
The next day (Thursday), I had to work until 1pm, then Niki and I took a train into NYC to see BSB!!!! It was her belated Birthday gift and I got to tag along. ;)
We went to Dallas BBQ’s & it was better than EVER. I got the honey glaze on my chicken for once, and it was to DIE FOR!!!! I ate my entire Cole Slaw too, like a piglet. Haha I was STARVING. Niki LOVED IT THERE. She got the mango madness drink special and it had LOTS of patron in it and she got so drunk off of ONE DRINK. She kept saying the word, IMPRESSIVE. TO EVERYTHING. Hilarious! She’s like, “OH you ate your coleslaw…..impressive.” or “Wow, this place is impressive.” Hahaha She was sweating after this drink!
After we left there, we found the Cupcake Café for dessert, Jessie’s suggestion! My stomach did the same thing it always does after leaving BBQ’s….I got SO sick and thank GOD, Cupcake place had a bathroom. Ugh. Terrible feeling.
So while I was sick, Niki was drunk and ordering us cupcakes haha
We got two big ones….yellow cake with chocolate icing. We walked down to Broadway and sat at a table and ate them. She sobered up! Haha
I gotta say, at first, biting into it, I didn’t like it much. It was a bit hard and just wasn’t into the icing. HOWEVER….after a few bites, it reminded me of a CORNMUFFIN but sweeter, and BUTTERY. And then I realized, I REALLY REALLY LIKED IT. Yumm-O!
But overall, MAGNOLIA’s is still #1 on my list!!! I just LOVE their cupcakes!!
Actually, Coastal Cupcakes in Wilmington, NC is my overall fave!! But Magnolia’s is my 2nd.
Dang, I love CUPCAKES. Ahhahaha
The concert was AWESOME!!!!! We didn’t realize that the Hammerstein Ballroom was IN the Manhattan Center. We walked right past it. blah. Our seats were awesome with a perfect view & we were able to sit and watch most of it! It’s funny how people go NUTS for the songs that Niki & I can’t stand LOL There were some crazy fans there too!
I LOVE all the new album and I was so happy that they did most of those songs. <3
SO we missed our 11:12pm train by ONE minute! I was so pissed. The next one was at 11:52pm. ::Sigh:: Niki had never been in Penn Station and I don’t think she liked it much haha You have to RUN to your train when they announce what gate it’s at. Annoying.
We were REALLY silly on the train ride home because it was so late….people around us probably thought we were on crack.
Mikey was a sweetheart and picked us up at like 1:15am! Got to bed around 2! Luckily, didn’t have to go into work until 11am which was nice.
Last weekend was just chill. Went to my friend’s pool on Sunday which was actually REALLY FUN! Got some ‘end of summer’ tan.
And this week at work has just been chill…nothing great, nothing bad…just doing my thang.
After I leave the office at 1 today, we’re heading out to Lancaster to go to the Outlets, have dinner and get ice cream at a homemade place right in the Amish Country. Then grocery shopping at Shady Maple. Whew. Amish filled day ahead of us.
Tomorrow we have a family picnic to go to at Mikey’s Aunt & Uncle’s…and they’re the group we’re going to Cashtown and Gettysburg with in a month! Woowoo! So we’re all going to pick which haunted room we get at the Inn!
Monday my only plan on my day off is to hang with Niki in the morning…she wants me to take her shopping for a dress for a wedding we’re going to in 2 weeks. Should be fun!
And I think that’s the latest on me!! Time for a snack at work.
