UGH! thanks for the warning. I was so annoyed by Chamber of Secrets, which I still think is the creepiest of all the books and the most boring of movies. It did teach me the wonder of cinematography, though: if a bad director can make a fight between a cute little boy, an evil spirit-thing, and a giant poisonous snake with deadly eyes incredibly tedious, then the fact that any movies are at all interesting means there are some really talented people behind cameras. Sadly, not cameras aimed at Daniel Radcliffe. Actually, my worst disappointment was the Goblet of Fire movie, because I'd thought that would be the easiest to make. A scary sporting event at the beginning, some classes, three dangerous but kind of fun/cool major competitions, a dance with pretty dresses, and an evil, murderous climax. It's like a send up of all high school movie genres, but with some magic. But the whole movie was so "dark" in tone that the climax didn't come as the shock it's supposed to, and certain parts were dragged out too long that they got dull for ( ... )
