barcelona and other random happenings!
Well Hellooooooooooooo!!!!
so back from Barcelona... oh my goodness, it was AMAZING! we had the greatest time ever, and did not want to leave. i think i chose the wrong language to study... no not really, the more i heard Spanish the uglier i thought i was and really missed French, but spain is beautiful. there is a ton to tell so ill just give you the highlights. we saw a ton of stuff by this architect named Antoni Gaudi. it was incredible. he has such a unique style and i have never seen anything like this before. there is this park called Guell Park which looks like something out of candy land. and he started building this church called Sagrada Famillia which is the coolest thing i have ever seen. you walk up these tiny spiral steps all the way up it, it was beautiful. the church is still in construction so its weird seeing scaffolding all over the place. words cant even describe it, so check out my pics when i get them posted finally!
other than that, we did a lot of shopping but we were very good and didnt buy too much. we went to the beach and got chased down by the Mediterranean Sea... i out ran it, but quat got all wet! haha! we were wandering around and we saw these giant white tents, we were like what are those? yeah, we stumbled upon the Cirque De Soleil, so random, it started the day we left tho, so there was no chance of seeing it.
we stayed in a pretty cool hostel, with lots of really cool ppl. we met these 3 girls who are American and are studying in the south of france, some german girls, japonese, some more Americans, a guy from New Zealand and this guy from South Africa who is probably one of the most interesting ppl i have ever met. hes been travelling around... well, the world, for the past 4 years, if he runs out of money, or likes a place a lot, he'll stop there and work for a while, then pick up and leave again. so crazy! i wish i could do that!
in other news, i'm getting back into the swing of things as far as classes go, slowly but surely. quat and i skipped class yesterday, and our one class got cancelled for tomorrow and so we only have one class, which is one hour... yeah, probably not goin! i'm getting so lazy about classes this semester now that i know that they really dont care!!!
hm what else? oh yeah, i turn the big 21 on thursday!!! i cant wait, it is going to be so much fun. im having a little shindig... heehee... having some ppl over from school. yeah, lets just say that the girls have a goal for me on my bday and i think i will be in a lot of pain on friday!
watched "The Notebook" last nite... it was even sadder than the book, i balled all the way thru it, im not talking a little sob here and there, i was freakin hystarical! the girls thought it was funny... SO FREAKIN SAD!!! but see it, when you're in the mood to cry!
i hope everyone is doing well, i've been getting kinda homesick the past few days, i really miss you guys a ton, and i cant wait for all the great times we'll have this summer! meh, yeah, i miss you!
the girls and i are cooking yummy dinna tonite... mmm! and watching movies!
