While in school, from time to time, I overhear the young students and I cannot help but feel the urge to roll my eyes. These kids are so entitled. Its sickening. Many of them have no sense of reality. I refuse to be grouped under the umbrella of Millennials. I relate more to the generation x strata of society. None of this matters so much but I don't have this apathy... this everything is okay if I don't know feeling. This kid in one of my classes very proudly claimed in discussion that Guantanamo Bay is totally fine but everyone is making a big deal because the news covered it. "Torture always happens in war". - some kid So basically if a stranger is raped and mutilated that is totally fine as long as he doesn't hear about it in his sphere of awareness. Fucker. There are reasons that these things matter; these are not singular events. They have consequences. Its like they don't understand how things relate to one another... how buying a garment that is produced by tiny economic slave labor fuels the industry.
A light at the end of the tunnel.... This just made my day!!!
