Today is a great day so far.
I went on a date/hang-out with my best friend who I have not seen in weeks.
First, we went to eat lunch at an Italian Restaurant (it's our thing lol) while we catch up on what we have missed from each other. I had Chicken Scallopini because I love pasta. We celebrated the fact that RDJ is younger than our parents. Hahahahahaha
Then, since we finished early than we expected, we went to Hastings to browse for books and DVDs. Which in the end I bought 3 DVDs (2 Games of Thrones and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), God knows how many comic books, and another Deadpool pin set. \o/
Again, we still had more time to waste, so we lounge around at the bookstore for a while and I told her about the horrendous book, "50 Shades of Grey" (yeah, I've tried reading it and I can't with that book. It's a massive joke.
I showed her the book and we were cracking up while trying to read it. Omg we might have looked like complete lunatics, but that book's existence is just too hilarious.
Anyhow, we went on to the theaters when it was about time. There were pretty amazing trailers - one of them was Dark Knight Rises. Oh yeah! But when Breaking Dawn came on, my friend and I were in hysterics. But after that trailer, the movie came on. My friend commented, "They had to play that before the movie???"
Oh man, the movie. At first I was freaking the fuck out. Like, my feels cannot be contained. My friend whispered to me that she will punch me if I don't stop. Because frankly, that was just the credit opening. lololol
Omg, so throughout the movie, there are so many emotions I can't handle. I thought I was going to cry, but nope. I got teary. Really, really teary. My friend on the other hand, was sniffling while crying buckets of tears. I didn't mean to laugh when I checked on her, but I did. I was surprised that she's crying her heart out. So in the end, she punched my arm lol. It hurt. That made me move away from her ( I tend to lean on her when we watch movies) every time there's a tear jerking moment. There was quite a lot.
I'm not going to spoil anything, but I'd like to say. That movie was beyond amazing, spectacular, and ultimate at the same time. Andrew portrayed Peter much, much better than Toby, imo. He had the right amount of awkward, snark, and everything Peter Parker/Spider-man is. I love how Andrew has pretty much became one with Peter Parker - not even a hint of "Andrew Garfield as an actor" was shown. Through out the movie I felt like I lived in NY and that Spider-man was real and out there saving us from danger (cheesy I know, but that's how I really felt) Imagine how off I left when I went out of the theater - hell, even when the credits showed.
I had so much hope and expectation for this movie and I'm glad it never disappointed me. I do hope that they don't half-ass from now on, but I doubt they will because many fans are impressed with this. Marvel better bloody know that fans will expect more from the second movie. I know I will. But I have high hopes for Andrew as Peter/Spider-man. And if Emma will still be there - I have high hopes for her too.
In conclusion, The Amazing Spider-man is now my one of my favorite movies. It totally revived and and put the comics to justice - compared to the first movie series. I'm so attached to this hero, I can't even. I just... I have so much feels for this movie. I have so much feels for Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. I have so much feels for Spider-man himself.
