So I was babysitting today and I randomly thought of this plot. I was going to make this a Kyumin fic, but decided it would be nice to have a different pair and it matches the Yehwook pair the most!!! 8D
I hope you guys like this as much as my Kyumin fics. Dw I didn't abandon Kyumin, I just wanted something different once in a while.

“Darn it, where is that freaking turtle?!” a guy wearing a high school uniform covered in dirt, muttered as he crawled on the streets of his neighborhood. He had been looking for his pet turtle the whole afternoon after he found out that his younger sibling had let it go for a 'walk' at their front yard, leaving it unattended to get some ice cream. When he got home, his snotty sibling came crying to him; telling him that she lost his most treasured pet. He got his turtle as his last present from his father who had been away for several years for business reasons.
“Yesung-ah,” his father summoned for him, “Meet Ddangkoma.” He gave his son a transparent box with a baby turtle inside. Yesung stared at it in awe with his bleary eyes. His father gently ruffled his hair with a smile.
“While I'm away, treat this young creature as your best friend, okay?” he asked. Yesung weakly nodded.
“I will dad, but don't forget you are still my best friend,” he sobbed. His father hugged him tightly before he went inside the airport. Yesung watched his father's back as it slowly blended in with the massive crowd inside the huge building. He tightly clutched the box as tears continued flowing from his eyes.
“DDANGKOMA!” he shouted as he continued to crawl on the ground, checking under the cars hoped to see the little creature still alive. However, every little peek, Yesung found no trace of a turtle. He checked under the outgoing mail post, nothing. He checked his neighbors' yards, nadda. He stopped for a while and took a deep breath before losing his patience.
'Think...think...think...' he mentally chanted to himself as he thought of a possible location of Ddangkoma. A horrible possible situation had entered his head, which caused him to start freaking out:
A trace of crushed shell leading to a splattered lifeless body of a turtle.
Yesung couldn't help himself shriek from the grotesque image. He quickly went back searching for his best friend. He abruptly bumped onto someone with a tiny figure as he was intently looking for Ddangkoma.
“Ah! I'm so sorry!” he quickly apologized and bowed to that person. When he looked up, he saw an younger guy also wearing the same high school uniform as his, handling a turtle with so much care. He immediately recognized that turtle.
“I heard that you have been looking for a turtle,” the younger guy asked, “I found him by our driveway when I went home. I decided to keep him for a while because I didn't know who he belonged to.” The younger guy smiled innocently and handed Yesung the turtle.
“DDANGKOMA!!!!” he shouted in relief. He gladly retrieved his best friend back and hugged him tightly.
“Ahhhh~ Yesung-hyung missed you so much.” he mumbled to the little creature who stared at him, showing that he was listening. Yesung looked back at the younger guy who was taking care of Ddangkoma.
“Thank you so much!” he exclaimed with a big smile, “ I thought I would never see my best friend ever again.” He absentmindedly petted the turtle's head.
“No problem,” the younger one said, “ I had fun looking after him. I hope you don't mind me feeding him lettuce a while ago, he looked hungry and it was the only thing I had for him.” Yesung shook his head.
“Don't worry, you gave him the right food. Lettuce is his favorite food! By the way, my name is Yesung,” he extended his free hand towards the other guy, who shook it eagerly.
“Nice to meet you, Yesung. My name's Ryeowook. I just moved here a couple of days ago.” Yesung nodded in acknowledgment and pointed at Ryeowook's uniform.
“We go to the same school. I'm in my senior year, what year are you in?,” the older guy asked.
“I'm in my junior year, sunbaenim” Ryeowook answered politely. Yesung scoffed at his politeness.
“No need to be polite, Ddangkoma's Savior!” he cheekily told Ryeowook, “From now on, I will call you Ryeowook and you will call me Yesung. Just Yesung.” They both agreed and shook their hands on it. Dddangkoma was happily looking at both of them.
'I'm glad I got lost~' the silly Ddangkoma thought.
