So, in lieu of still having no good news to share about my life, I will do a fandom meme! Not one related to how many words I've written, because that's just damn embarrassing.
Also, to everyone who has written me a message of support: Thank you. I have read them - many times over. It means a lot to me just to hear from you, and to know I'm not a ghost, even if I feel like one. A million times, thank you.
ON TO THE MEME.
1. Your main fandom of the year.
I skipped all around this year, but the main one would still have to be The Eagle. So many of my unfinished stories are on the kink meme as well... oopsies.
2. Your favourite film of the year.
First thing that popped into my head was Warrior, and then I realised that was 2011! I would have to say Lawless (underrated in fandoms, but I fucking loved every moment), followed by The Hobbit.
3. Your favourite book you read this year.
The Year of Our War by Steph Swainston. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK ENOUGH, nor can I stop reccing the trilogy. If you want High Fantasy without the usual boring elves, goblins, witches, and warlocks - if you want REAL creativity to a startling degree mixed with a fucking fabulous plot and a cast of characters to die for - this is book for you. And it's a female author writing with a male POV, and it is magnificent. Forever one of my favourite books, to be honest. Read the shit out of this, please. You will be missing out if you don't.
4. Your favourite album or song to listen to this year.

5. Your favourite TV show of the year.
Game of Thrones. Nothing else can hold a candle. And The Hour... and Sherlock.
6. Your best new fandom discovery of the year.
The Hobbit! Bless that damn fandom.
7. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year.
Gonna give the same answer as my pals and say The Eagle fandom dwindling away. SOB. It was such a beautiful, close-knit group of people.

Romola Garai! But, despite the fear of being called a hipster, I must admit that I've been a fan of her for years and years, and not just recently. My Tumblr shows me posting her since I first had a Tumblr, like three years ago. But I'm thrilled more people are now recognising her due to The Hour - the more of her face I see on my dash, the happier I am!
10. Your biggest squee moment of the year.
