Hello lj-ers.
I've been in absentia for WAY too long. November 2?? That's like eons ago. My laptop is still dead, however the hard drive is being replaced as we speak. Fingers crossed and maybe I'll rejoin the internet lifestyle. Meanwhile, I only check my email at school unless there's something very important. Only chat at school. Only surf around aimlessly at school. Which has been surprisingly liberating.
In this time I have also trained myself to not wear a watch. Not really by choice, as the battery died in November as well, but instead of springing for the 20 bucks to fix it, I've learned to go without. Also liberating (although irritating on flights because there's no cell phone-checking available).
The last few months in sum...
4 weeks in Hawaii--WONDERFUL.
4 days in Memphis--Fun, but I won't go back by choice.
3 weeks working on revisions of a manuscript so that we can resubmit--terribly irritating.
Wow, when boiled down to that my life seems terribly boring and mundane. I promise, it's not. Kind of. Hmph.
