(no subject)
Things seem to have calmed down now that 2007 has passed. We have recently acquired a whole bunch of new fun gadgets... I am usually not one to buy the newest coolest thing. I am the one who, for example, waits for the Nintendo GameCube to be practically obsolete and then buys it on eBay for $35. But, mostly due to our recent nuptials, and all the fab people who gave us gifties (or cash) we now have a plasma tv (thanks Dad), a PS3, his 'n' hers Nintendo DSes (thanks to our D&D buddies), and I decided to buy myself a gift of a Mac Book Pro. Whee!
So it follows that I've been spending way too much time playing video games. The Ratchet and Clank game for PS3 was great, but too short (or am I too good at it?). And hubby bought us the Orange Box, so I've gotten almost all the way through Portal, which is awesome, and I am currently immersed in Half Life 2. Not usually a first-person-shooter kinda gal, but this one's fun and very atmospheric. On the DS, I am playing Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass. Love me them Zelda games!
Oh, and can I just say the Blade Runner Final Cut on Blu-Ray.... SO GORGEOUS.
And I promise promise that now that I have a computer that can better handle digital photos that I will try to get my damn photos from Japan up on my flickr page. I know you're all just dying to see them. :)
In other news, nephew number three, Mateo, was born almost three weeks ago. He's very cute! I am counting the days (okay years) until I can take the little guys to Disneyland and Comicon!! Or at least have them over to play video games. tee hee.
I am taking a Musical Theater Vocal Ensemble class at my work (A.C.T.) in an attempt to get over my singing stage fright... all the songs are Sondheim songs, which are challenging, especially for moi with very little musical theater experience. Most of my classmates have done way more musical theater. It's fun and I adore my teacher.
I am excitedly planning a bunch of trips for this spring... Hawaii (to visit enolarama and thrustoleum) and Austin in April and, hopefully, Portland in May to see mistresshellena. Can't wait!!
