so I have had quite an eventful weekend. first off friday I spent part of the day setting up a photo installation, starring the alumni from scpa, then sara and I decided we needed a break so we left classes and drove to shake it records there I bought the shins, oh inverted world because the tape I had was demolished in a shopping cart collision at michaels so sad. While there we ran into lizzie, theo's ex, it was quite nice to talk to her again, she is such a fun person. after that sara and I went to avant garage, the temptation to purchase everything in the shop was horridly strong seeing how sara had her credit card, but we opted out and made plans to go back in two weeks when we both receive paychecks. after having to leave empty handed without the luscious vintage clothing on our person, we felt quite sad so we opened sara's shins cd and out popped a sticker oh we were so happy! we played the cd and were incredibly happy, it's just such a happy feeling kinda band. we drove around for a while, sara chained smoked her cigarettes as I chain chewed my sugar free gum. Sara dropped me off at home and it was off to work for me, I worked until 10:30 but before my shift was over I had an unexpected call from jonathan murray he called me on my cell phone, I hate when the phone rings everyone stared at me as I shuffled to the break room to take the call.. It turned out that Rachel kloss was having a party so jonathan picked me up at about 11, we went and met up with some people, It's quite fun to observe the ones consuming the underage amounts of tequila, and the people undergoing substance abuse are always fun, ergh.
I got home at about 5 and went up to columbus at 7 hey but I slept 2 hours in the car so it's cool..ugh yea...to visit my brother we ended up going to the conservatory, we saw chihuli's glass pieces, he was such a cool artist I have always been interested in glass blowing and he increased my interest by creating some amazing pieces, oh he was super cool becasue he resembles a pirate! he has a patch over his left eye, there were glass globes and pieces that resembled flowers which were placed within the conservatory in such a manner, that everywhere you turn some type of alteration was done to the bushes and trees. It reminded me of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory so much that sean and I spent the whole time through the trails humming our own randitions of the theme song from the movie! it was super fun dude. It was a sad time when I had to leave and go back to cincinnati yet I am relieved now that I can just sit and relax and of course listen to the shins as all of the songs keep popping into my head at no particular order, but I love that feeling when you get a new cd and nothing is more important to you than listening to it repeatedly. SO hey if anyone wants to go to avant garage with moi that would super duper awesome because I love that place and I'd like to share the love!
